SWAT is a volunteer organization that relies on temporary foster homes rather than a standard shelter for the housing of strays and surrendered companion animals. SWAT's goal is to find permanent homes for stray and surrendered companion animals, to prevent the surrender of companion animals to high kill shelters and to provide affordable sterilized pets for the community. For more information, check out our About Us and Join Us pages.
We hold our adoption days every Saturday from 11 am to 2 pm at Northwest Farm Supply, on the corner of North 2nd and Rees Street, in Walla Walla. (Driving Directions)
All dogs and cats surrendered to Save Wonderful Animals Team are sterilized and up to date on vaccinations before being adopted out. Adoption fees, which help defray medical expenses, are payable to Save Wonderful Animals Team (SWAT). Adoption fees may vary depending on breed and size of dog, but start at $150 for puppies, $110 for dogs and $50 for cats.

Fostering provides a healthy, stabilizing environment. Homes with existing and/or no pets help an abandoned or surrendered animal normalize quickly. All pets are sterilized and vaccinated before going to a foster home. Foster homes are always needed.
